ok first keep in mind, none are gonna taste like a Dairy Queen Blizzard or milkshake. However, you can make them drinkable with a few tips and tricks ;)
As others have posted, never mix with just plain water.

As dana posted, try samples first.
If you have the nectar carribean cooler - i mix with 20oz water, 1 straw tube of Crystal lite sunrise orane, about 4 ice cubes and shake shake shake (dont blend the nectars, it will foam up like you wouldnt believe!!).  You end up with a nice tropical lay at the beach kinda drink.
Use the same mixxture if you et the nectar fuzzy navel.

The IDS cinnamon vanilla or even the plain vanilla or chocolate (for mocha) flavors are great in coffee like coffee creamer.  Put the protein powder in the cup/mug whatever, pour in a tish of water, stir to make paste. Then add your hot coffee, stirin as you add.

The lemon tea one is good mixed with CL peach tea.
The vanilla flavored ones - use 1/4 packae of dry SF instant puddin. If will thicken up your shake (do this one in a blender) that way you et diff flavors as well.  Mix these with milk to make it richer

you get the idea lol. Never mix with plain water. ICK lol.

oh ya, also, if you eat cottage cheese or yohgurt, mix in a scoop of protein powder into each before you eat it.  reat way to ramp up the protein

I love Syntrax Nectar Cappachino and Vanilla Bean Torte flavors.  They mix well, aren't thick, and taste pretty good.  I put them in my decaf coffee.  I haven't tried the fruit flavors.  I know you can get samples online.

I'm a bandster, so I don't have your dumping issues...  but I do doctor up my shakes.  If I'm blending up a chocolate shake, I'll add at least a heaping tablespoon of SF pistachio pudding mix (the dry powder), a little baking ****o, a little spenda, a little vanilla,,,  sorry, I'm not a measuring person, my pinches were never the same as Grandma's.....  you've got to mix it up, experiment, SF vanilla, chocolate, cheese cake pudding etc, will take some of the protien taste out of the shakes...  Just my 2 cents.....  Good luck, keep on asking those questiions, you are going to do great!!!

Blessings,
Avis

I hate anything gritty or with weird aftertastes and the first I found that I liked was by Smoothie King and it is their Gladiator version.  Also Sean N got me hooked on Syntha-6 (comes in a red bottle with silver lid) it is not only way tastier but also about $20 cheaper than the Gladiator!

The only powdererd protien I can handle is Maximum Protein.  I get it at GNC but it's not available at all of them.  I know you can't find it at the one in the malls.  It has to be an independent GNC.  It is a little pricey compared to some of the other but is worth it to me.  The maximum protein taste like a fudgecicle to me.  I mix it with water because I don't do well with milk since surgery.

I would also get the fruit punch protein bullets and mix them with sugar free hawaiian punch.  That worked well for me.  They are a little more expensive than the powders.

i tried a new recipe yesterday and it was good.  i used 1 scoop of unflavored powder with frozen unsweetened juice, milk, and splenda into a blender and it tasted like an orange julius. I also didn't dump from it.

thanks for your help!
